Dr. Sharon Minott-Warren

Experienced Periodontist in Houston

Dr. Sharon Minott-Warren is a graduate of Columbia University, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992. After graduating, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, California. In 1993, she moved to Houston, Texas and practiced general dentistry for three years.

In 1996, Dr. Minott-Warren attended Oregon Health Science University to pursue a three year Residency in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. During those three years she also participated in extensive research on bone grafting and orthodontics.

Currently, Dr. Minott-Warren practices in the Houston region and is an active member of the AAP among other organizations. In March 2010, she was elected by the ADA to be an Evidence Based Champion in the practice of dentistry. This appointment charges her with the responsibility of disseminating the most current information and research available to providers through the ADA and the Cochrane Institute. Dr. Minott-Warren is certified with PACE to facilitate continuing education credits course for dental professionals. She also hosts the Bellaire Periodontics Hygiene Study Club.

Dr. Minott-Warren has lectured both nationally and internationally. In November 2008, she lectured at the Bahamas Dental Association on the role of the periodontist in dentistry. She has given lectures locally to other general dentists and their staff on current topics.

Dr. Minott-Warren regularly attends meetings of various organizations, leads Spear Study Club, and is actively involved with the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Dental Association.
